

The race to make it to the College World Series is on. The college baseball game between Indiana State baseball and Iowa Hawkeyes was one such game, which was filled with excitement and passion. A lot was at stake for the Indiana State baseball, who put in a fine performance to clinch the regional final for the second time since 1986.

Though everything went well for Indiana State. But there was a moment that put the heartbeats of benches rushing. Though everything went normal later on, a particular incident got all the attention. Baseball fans have now registered their reactions to social media!

A camera caught a failed theft attempt from an Indiana State player.
It happened during the game when Indiana was in the lead over the Hawkeys with a score of 11-7. A player of the Hawkeys was at the plate, who hit a ball high, a home run. But the left fielder from Indiana had other ideas and pretended that he caught the ball. Both team benches were not aware of the reality. They reacted in contrast until the concerned player accepted his failed attempt to steal the home run. Though that incident did not extend to anything serious for the Indiana State. The State eventually won the game with a score of 11-8, pulling up a historical win. For them, L. Hernandez and A. Pottinger scored three runs each. Both finished the game with an average of around 0.300. Apart from them, pitcher S. Gregersen put in a great effort. He pitched in three innings and claimed six strikeouts, helping their team make it to the super regionals.
