Albert Pujols enjoys the last game of the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry week

Taking to Instagram, Pujols shared his presence at Yankee Stadium. His Instagram story read, “Enjoying this rivalry at the Yankee Stadium.”?Along with him was his partner Nicole Fernandez at Yankee Stadium.

Notably, his appearance came days after he joined the MLB office as a special assistant to Rob Manfred. As an assistant commissioner, Pujols will have multiple domains to look into. He will share his advice on issues from player relations to other issues regarding his home country, Dominican Republic. Additionally, Pujols will join the MLB Network as an on-air analyst.

On the opportunity, Pujols had said, ?I couldn?t be more excited for this next chapter of my career,? He added, ?Commissioner Manfred and I share the same passion for growing the game in the Dominican Republic and I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together. Boston Red Sox takes the series with a close win at Yankee Stadium!

It was a series decider of the series that was filled with drama. The Pinstripes were coming after a win. They failed to make the most of the winning momentum and lost the game with a score of 3-2. The home side was in the lead until the eighth inning. With the two teams tied, the game stretched till the 10th innings. The Red Sox took the lead with the effort from Hernandez. Then Chris Martin shut the Yankees offense with a perfect pitch, helping his team win the game and the series at the death!
