Derek Jeter has had a legendary two-decade-old baseball career. Even though the Ex Yankees retired in 2014, his name is still synonymous with the sport. He is one of the most successful baseball players and has multiple accolades against his name, including winning the World Series five times. The ex-Yankees star has found success in all his ventures since retirement. But he has still not tried his hands on broadcasting. Jeter is set to have his first test as a FOX studio crew for the London series slated for this week.

Jeter is prepared on being joined by his frenemy Alex Rodriguez and rival David Ortiz in the studio. Recently, the 2009 World Series Winner opened up on his new role.

Derek Jeter to start his studio journey with the London Series!

Jeter has not worked as a broadcaster before and will have his first time experience as a broadcaster in the London Series slated for 24 and 25th June. Interestingly, he will be joined by Rodriguez and Ortiz on his first adventure as a part of the broadcasting crew. Given that Jeter has known both legendary MLB players, he is looking to fit into the team fast.

In a conversation with Fox Sports, Jeter reiterated the same and shared, “I mean, I?ve known ?lex [Rodriguez], obviously, for a long time, David [Ortiz] as well, and I?ve gotten to know Kevin [Burkhardt] over the last few months. I think it?s just, enjoy it.”

Focusing that he has vast experience, Jeter shared, “So I think everyone just, be yourself and give your perspective of when you played. And I have a different perspective from the front office/ownership side, as well.”?

London to witness MLB Rivalry this week!

In another initiative of MLB to take the game of baseball to a global stage, the second edition of the London Series will take place this week. The series will happen after 2019. In the last edition, the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox played faced each other. Now the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs will look to repeat the same and entertain the fans on June 24-25, 2023, at the London Stadium.

It will be another chapter to their rivalry, but the eyes will not be only on them, but also on the broadcasting box.
