A Regretful Decision For Mookie Betts That Comes Haunting Back

Looking back at 2019, it is tough to ignore the conflicted move by the management of The Boston Red Sox. Fans and peers of BoSox were confused about why such a talented chap with the skills of a 2018 MVP would be traded. This was a question no one from the management of the Red Sox answered until now.

In an interview with David Ortiz, on Rob Bradford?s Baseball Isn?t Boring podcast, he opened up about why he feels the trade was a bad one. Ortiz told Bradford, ?[It was painful] since day one, since they let him go.? Adding to the praises, he continued, ?I?m not even going to talk about the player because that?s off the charts, and he?s young, very mature. He?s the full package. He is the full package.?

As of present, Betts has already hit 35 home runs this year and has put him in the 5th position in the league. Betts is leading the Dodgers with a 12-game runaway lead on first place in the NL West. With that kind of performance one wonders why the BoSox let go of such a star.

Chief Baseball Officer for the Boston Red Sox Gives His Reasoning

Chaim Bloom, after his firing from the Boston Red Sox, has raised some eyebrows since he was the one to initiate Betts? trade. Bloom?s reasoning behind the step turned into a regretful mistake, was that the Red Sox could not accommodate and afford a huge contract for Betts. Though he was a great deal for the franchise, his contract had to end.
