Corbin Carroll started off the World Series with a blast-off performance by scoring two RBI triples in Game 1. Although he didn’t fare very well in today’s Game 3 after ending his final bats with two strikeouts, it doesn’t need to be said that the slugger is playing for the long run, as told by his previous performances.

The Arizona Diamondbacks rookie has been making strides across the team since his initiation. Known for his work ethic on and off the field, our favorite D-Backs outfielder seldom finds trouble outside the field, all thanks to his charm and control. In a recent pre-game segment in the Fox Newsroom, Yankees legend Derek Jeter revealed that the slugger has “a daily list of things he wants to accomplish throughout the course of the day.” What rituals does Carroll follow to ensure this spectacular form of his stays intact?

According to Corbin’s high school coach, he has always been very calculated in terms of what his routine is going to look like and what he wants to accomplish each day. This denotes a major level of attention to detail and alertness. When he’s not on the field, Corbin Carroll likes to delve into the realms of diet, fitness, books, and lessons across various fields. As mentioned by Derek Jeter, Carroll’s detailed routine-following habits come from his mother. The 23-year-old genius likes many things; the only thing he doesn’t like is boredom.

After his recent shoulder injury, Corbin had to take some time off the field with the help of his family. And they’re a bunch who do not like to pay attention to minor inconveniences. As his mother once said, “We’re not a pity-party family”. So, Corbin took a notebook and listed down all the things he’d like to indulge in; that included college courses, nutrition, sleep, weight room goals, and using various VR equipment that could keep him busy. Corbin Carroll was never the one to bow down before tough times. He always follows his father’s advice to “Learn to love it”, instead.

A legend in the making

The first rookie and the 9 player ever to score 25+ homers and 50+ steals, Corbin Carroll has always received immense support and praise from his followers. Apart from that, veteran players like Jeter aren’t the only ones to show respect for the outfielder. A-Rod, Jeter’s longtime friend and teammate, mentioned in the same Fox News segment how much he admires the rookie. He said that Carroll seems like “a cool cat; he’s obviously smart and poised”, comparing him to Johnny Damon. “He just has a way about it.” Fellow slugger Ortiz joined in, stating Carroll reminds him of Dustin Pedroia.
