Aaron Judge has had a stellar season with the New York Yankees. He broke records on the way to setting a new high. But it might as well be the last season that he entered the playground in a Yankees jersey. While Judge has turned into a free agent now, the son of a former Yankees legend has spoken about Judge. 

All-time baseball great Roger Maris set an MLB record for the highest seasonal home run tally in 1961. Maris slammed 61 home runs in that season to surpass the legendary Babe Ruth. More than six decades later, Judge smashed his way to 62 home runs going past Maris. Though Maris’ record was beaten multiple times before, Judge is the first one to do in the American League.

While Judge was on the quest for his historic home run, the entire Yankees fan base eagerly anticipated it. One noteworthy person, in particular, tracked Judge’s progress more closely. He happened to be none other than Maris’ son, Roger Maris Jr.

Therefore, speaking about Judge, Roger Maris Jr. wrote on his Twitter account quoting, “I hope Aaron Judge stays a Yankee. He is the face of the greatest franchise in sports 27. He will be made Captain. Yankees have the money. My dad always said there is not a better place to play than Yankee Stadium. A full career in the pinstripes means something in monument park!”
