Contrary to the emotions among fans, things did look bright for the Texas Rangers soon after. For six scoreless innings, Nathan Eovaldi lived up to his image as a big-league pitcher. He managed by coming in and out of jams. Before the Rangers finally got their first hit and run off Arizona ace Zac Gallen in the seventh inning, Gallen threw the much-needed, six scoreless innings.
