The New York Mets have clinched a spot in the playoffs after Monday night’s victory. The Mets opened up an away series against the Milwaukee Brewers. In their course of victory, the visitors ran rampant. The Mets won comfortably defeating the Brewers by a 7-2 margin. 

Playing as the starting pitcher, the enigmatic Max Scherzer was flawless in his performance. Returning from injury, Scherzer pitched in six innings. The Brewers’ batters could only score after Scherzer’s replacement. The victory sealed Scherzer’s 200th win in his MLB career.

Talking to reporters, Lindor said, “We presented to him as an appreciation and as a sign of respect that I have and we all have. He deserves it. He’s got five more days, let him enjoy it.”
