The competitive rivalry of former Yankees and MLB legends Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez has always been a talking point. Both players once had a great bonding on and off the field, but then it became sour. However, the situation is not the same anymore, as they are friends again. Talking about their game, baseball fans still miss the strong partnership the two had on the field during all those successful years.

Given the scale of the rivalry that made them frenemies, fans always doubted whether they would team up together for any assignment again. But it seems that the time has come as both legendary players have teamed up to take on their former arch-rival in a competition slated later this month,

Jeter and Rodriguez have not shared a table on many occasions since their retirement. But in the latest incident, both players have teamed up against their rival, David Ortiz. In the video shared by FOX Sports: MLB, they are both seen sitting and eating together. They also had a friendly dig at their rival, Ortiz, for missing the tea time.

Notably, it was the promotional video of the London Series in which two MLB teams will be involved that will happen on June 24. All three legendary players will travel together for the assignment. It will also be the revisit to the rivalry that goes back to the baseball field. As Ortiz was part of the Boston Red Sox squad that beat the New York Yankees in the 2004 American League Championship Series.

It will be the second season of the London Series. The last was in 2019, when the Yankees and Red Sox played the first regular-season games in Europe in June 2019. Now, after a gap of three years, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs will do the same. It will be a two-game series on June 24-25, 2023, at the London Stadium.

It will add to the 2500-odd games between the two-century-old rivals. Both teams are currently struggling and will have to get some momentum before this big series. What will be the result of the series? Only time will tell!
