Tatis was all set to return from his longtime injury this month. However, things are different now. Notably, Major League Baseball found him guilty of violating the performance-enhancing drug (PED) policy, and the Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. has also accepted the suspension of 80 MLB games for the same.

Earlier this month, when the Padres acquired Juan Soto and Josh Bell from the Nationals, MLB fans were desperate to see the star-studded batting lineup of the Padres playing together. But after Tatis’ suspension, it is not possible this season. When this news broke, MLB fans also shared their reaction on social media.

Notably, the former New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez had also accepted that he used PEDs during his younger days. And he also faced harsh punishment for this. MLB banned him for 162 games. August 13 also marks the day when the Yankees released A-Rod from their team.

And now, Fernando Tatis Jr. is in the same situation. The Padres star has also accepted his 80-game ban from Major League Baseball.
