Just when things were going in the right direction for the San Diego Padres, the National League side suffered a major blow ahead of the postseason games this season. Yes! The Padres superstar shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. will miss 80 MLB games.
Tatis was all set to return from his longtime injury this month. However, things are different now. Notably, Major League Baseball found him guilty of violating the performance-enhancing drug (PED) policy, and the Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. has also accepted the suspension of 80 MLB games for the same.

Earlier this month, when the Padres acquired Juan Soto and Josh Bell from the Nationals, MLB fans were desperate to see the star-studded batting lineup of the Padres playing together. Tatis will miss a huge part of next season too
Even if the Padres play the postseason games and qualify for the World Series this year, they will not be able to play 80 games this season. And Fernando Tatis Jr. will also miss several games in the Next season.
