Derek Jeter’s foundation Turn2 organized an invitational golf tournament for the second consecutive year. The event was held at the Bah Mar golf field, in the Bahamas, from May 11-13. Natalie Gulbis, the former professional golfer, returned to the event for the second time. Gulbis is a Yankees fan. The American golfer, who grew up in Sacramento and followed the Oakland A?s, had previously admitted: ?I was not a Yankees fan until I met Derek.??

Playing in Jeter?s event allowed Gulbis to observe the golf swings of various stars and MLB players. After attending the event for the first time almost 20 years prior, she observed that many invitees resembled the amateur swings she saw during her weekly L.P.G.A. pro-am events.

Natalie Gulbis shares her experience of playing in the tournament again!

Gulbis played in her first LPGA Tour event in 1997. She turned professional in 2001 and joined the tour in 2002, with her first win coming at the Evian Masters in 2007. The American golfer was also part of Team USA which won three Solheim Cup events. Gulbis retired in 2020 after her last LGPA tour, to put a close to her 20 years in the playing circuit.

The Foundation’s Instagram handle shared a story of the former golfer’s take on the event. “Honored to be part of the Derek Jeter Turn2 Foundation Invitational. I played the first one (20 years ago) incredible that the event keeps getting better! More raised, more fun, and the combo of athletes, entertainers, and industry leaders were the best I have seen yet!!” said the former pro golfer while talking about her return to the event.

Derek Jeter, Turn 2 Foundation, and the golf tournament!

The Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament is only one of the events. The foundation also organized the tournament under the presidency of Sharlee Jeter, sister of MLB legend Derek Jeter. Turn 2 Foundation has continued its work for almost three decades. Jeter and his father founded Turn 2 to motivate people to adopt a healthy lifestyle set it up.

The focus is on encouraging young people to abandon drugs and alcohol and? ?Turn 2? healthier lifestyles. In 2022, the foundation raised 2 million dollars. The investments of the foundation are mostly in the high schools, and a large number of high-school graduates have made it to university crediting Jeter’s Turn 2.
