Months before her marriage with Verlander, Kate Upton gave the perfect reply to this question. Talking to the People, Upton said, “It’s kind of great to be with someone who is in a similar place in their life. And I think because I started my career so young and he started his career so routine-oriented that coming into our own we kind of both did it at the same time,”

Just after one year of their marriage, the couple also became parents to their daughter, Genevieve Upton Verlander.
