Every MLB Star wants their name inscribed in the Baseball Hall Of Fame. Unsurprisingly, every athlete works hard to achieve this. In history, the league has witnessed many dreams taking shape, but from those thousands, only a few hundred have shaped into reality. One such name was Derek Jeter, forever star of the New York Yankees, who achieved this all because of his determination and contribution to the game. Though it has been years since they included Jeter in the precious list, it feels that only a few days have passed. The feeling got stronger after Jeter had revisited his induction.

Given fans have cherished him all his career, they were party to this. They reacted to his address years later on the anniversary of his achievement, joining in with their thoughts, adding more to their admiration for their beloved star.

According to nytimes.com, Jeter described it, “I forgot how good that feels. It’s humbling. It’s a special feeling, and you tend to miss it when you don’t hear it anymore.”

He added, “I realized it’s more than a game. The greatest people and players in this game, the Hall of Fame family, they’re watching, so I wanted their approval. During my career, I wanted to make Mrs. Robinson proud, I wanted to make Hank Aaron proud, I wanted to make all you behind me proud — not of statistics, but proud of how I played the game.”

Well, Jeter certainly made everyone proud. His career is a testament to it. He played for two decades, registering his presence in 2,747 games, scoring 1,923, averaging 0.310, and contributing to five World Series-winning campaigns.

Apart from that, he led the team for years and claimed many other personal accolades by stepping on the field for multiple All-Star games. He left a mark that was visible in fans’ emotions and reactions to his post.
