The former playboy, Derek Jeter has always dreamt of marrying the Queen of Christmas, but unfortunately, that could not happen. However, the shortstop did get to date his crush for around a year. The relationship, however long it lasted, was special for both of them. Also, Carey has never been shy about talking about the impact Jeter had on her life.
“I’ll probably never date somebody famous again,” was one of the things, the Yankees star said about his relationship with Mariah.
Having spent time together from 1997 to 1998, it was a good time, as said by Carey multiple times. When the duo started dating, the singer was still married to Tommy Mottola. The singer has also said that dating Jeter was the catalyst she required to break the abusive marriage.

More than a decade after the singer ended her marriage with Mottola, she tied the knot again. She got married to the actor-comedian, Nick Cannon, in 2008. While Jeter was still trying to find his ‘The One’ at the time. However, Carey’s relationship with Cannon, didn’t work out either, and they got separated in 2016.
