The problems seem never ending for them even after their captain’s, Aaron Judge, returned to the fold. The same misery followed the Yankees in the latest game when they lost the game in the last innings, even after leading by four runs.

The collapse opened Pandora’s box of criticism as the door to fans’ criticism. When manager Aaron Boone tried to justify loss with jumbled words, it worsened the situation. Fans were livid at Boone’s unusual response and showed it their reactions to social media.

Aaron Boone Justifies the Shock Series Loss Against the Miami Marlins

It was the series’ last game between the New York Yankees and the Miami Marlins. With it tied to 1-1, it was a crucial game, and the Yankees were doing great until the last-inning collapse. They were leading the game with four runs, but they lost it with a score of 8-7, conceding five in the last innings.

It brought Boone’s decision to go with Clay Holmes as a pitcher for the ninth innings. Holmes finished the game with three hits, five runs. Resulting in their outfield miseries adding more problems. Because of it, the team recorded a loss after leading by four in the ninth after July 21.

While addressing the loss, Boone said, “We’re going to play a great team tomorrow, and we’ve got to be ready to go, period. So we know we gotta rack up winds. And as tough as this one is to swallow, you gotta move on from it. Despite a poor game, Boone defended Holmes and said his performance was not different from the rest of the games, but a lack of execution caused the problems.

Boone was asked about that foul throw which led to the Marlins getting back into the game, and its effect on Holmes. He said, “I think if he gets himself in position, he’s gotta play. So, you know, I think in a perfect world, he probably lets it go, and it’s probably a double play to Anthony, but that’s a tough thing to react to at the moment. You know, you see it; it’s a play he makes.”

Though Boone looked optimistic about the future, the justification of the result failed to win the fan’s hearts.

The Yankees fans are unhappy with Aaron’s handling of the team. Moreover, his regular denial of mistakes the team is making is frustrating them. The same was their response while reacting to his latest comments.
