Not long but just a few months ago, almost no Yankees fan wanted to see Isiah Kiner-Falefa wearing the Pinstripes. However, the situation is not the same anymore, the same IKF who was receiving endless criticism for his poor outings, has become a fan favorite for his consistently excellent performances from the plate. Even though nothing went correctly for the player in 2022, he was always in a positive mood to do well for the team in the future.

Falefa has proved his critics wrong with his excellent last few outings, especially his contribution to wins. Isiah Kiner-Falefa had the New York Yankees dream since his childhood!

Not everyone can relive their childhood dream, but Falefa is not one of those. Having seen his dream turn into reality with his signing for the Yankees in 2022, he doesn’t want to have any regrets in the future. This is possibly the reason that is driving him to hit balls perfectly and put his team in a winning position. According to the Twitter post shared by YES Network, Falefa always wanted to be at the Yankees.

In the video, Falefa talks about his first visit to the Yankees and the opportunity to see the old stadium while the new one is being built. Given that he had a baseball dream, it triggered the desire to play for the Yankees, which he fulfilled last season. Falefa exclaimed, “Like I said, once I was on the field there, that’s what kind of started me wanting to be where I am now. So you know, things kind of came full circle, and I’m glad to be here.” Now Falefa is into his second season. He is making sure that he leaves a mark behind!

A total turnaround for Falefa in the second half of the current season!

Even the 28-year-old is averaging 0.234 this season, he has been a complete player in the last few outings. Falefa has 14 RBIs this season,  eight of them have come in his past five appearances. He has contributed to three runs out of 14 this season in the past week.

Given that he is striking the ball smoothly, IKF has got appreciation from the fans. Though he has an OPS of 0.644, the world can expect it to increase further because of his ever-improving performances. Where will the player from Hawaii finish the season? Only time will tell!
