Isiah Kiner-Falefa was always on the receiving end of constant criticism from fans. He had a tough last season and a similar start to the ongoing season. Fans were unhappy with him wearing the Pinstripes and wanted his way out from the squad. With every passing day, IKF faced pressure to prove his worth and sustain his place on the squad. But things have changed a lot for the player from Hawaii.

IKF has been excellent in the last few outings, with crucial contributions in wins. He has been hitting the ball quite well lately, which has made the fans cheer for him. The same happened after the New York Yankees and the Seattle Mariners. Even though the 28-year-old missed the home run, he still got all the praise from the fans for a brilliant strike.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa almost had another home run of the season

It was a game of ifs and but between the Yankees and the Marines. A single run decided the result between the two teams. The Yanks could not score a single run in which IKF also missed a home run by a whisker. It happened in the seventh inning of the game. Isiah hit a ball high but fell short of the home run by a few inches. Talkin’ Yankees shared the video of the shot that was captioned, “Nooooo.”

The case would have been different for the Yankees had it been a home run. They lost the game in the last innings with a run from Jose Caballero. Even though Isiah could not help his team win the game, he has been solid otherwise. He has made a hit in the previous eight outings and has eight RBIs. The 28-year-old is averaging 0.217 and has 10 RBIs at an OPS of 0.624 this season. All his contributions in the past have made the fans praise him.

The Yankees fans have poured in their emotions over the player they hated the most. It has been a change in his ever-improving performances and the same was the case at the end of the last game. Many fans took over social media to appreciate the player for his brilliant display. Here are a few of the reactions!
