Alex Rodriguez was one of the best MLB players in modern times. He made his MLB debut with the Seattle Mariners in 1994. He played for seven seasons before moving to the Texas Rangers. Alex then signed for the New York Yankees and was there for the rest of his career until his retirement in 2016. When Alex Rodriguez compared his sexiness with Derek Jeter!

Rodriguez was doing great in the 2007 season, and so was his teammate Jeter. The two had a good partnership as teammates, but according to Rodriguez in coolness, he was half of what Jeter is. In a conversation with extratv.com, Alex shared, “I used to be sexy, but now that I play next to Jeter, I’ve gone from a nine to a four.” He also added that “Jeter is truly the sexy one. I’d rather just hang out with him and see if some of his coolness can rub off.”

Putting everything aside, it was one of the best seasons of Rodriguez’s MLB career. He played 158 games and scored 143 runs at an average of 0.314. He also scored 54 home runs that year and had an OPS of 1.067 with a WAR of 9.02. Even though the Yankees lost to the Cleveland Guardians, the effort of Rodriguez got him a bigger contract with the team.

There was a time between the two players when everything was not alright. The comments made by Alex on Jeter were the reason for the bitterness between the two.

It happened after Alex’s $252 million contract with the Texas Rangers, the largest contract of that time. He said that it could be anyone to break his contract record, but not the shortstop Derek Jeter. These comments put a break to their friendship, but things have improved between the two lately.
