Yoshinobu Yamamoto has been keeping the entire free agency market on their toes since his contract predictions saw a surge of a hundred million, this month. Wolfe’s Rolodex of clients includes athletes of different statures and fame. Some of the more noteworthy ones, like Giancarlo Stanton, have already achieved massive fame in their respective teams with Wolfe’s help in finalizing their deals. “Super Joel”: The man whose values will be invaluable for Yoshinobu Yamamoto

Yamamoto was introduced to the realm of American sports when his NPB team, the Orix Buffaloes, posted him for MLB free agency back on November 20th. Wasserman being one of the most prominent sports agencies in the country, the team chose to hand over the responsibility of handling Yamamoto’s contractual offers; the agency’s past Japanese connections might have been instrumental in that decision.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto got the same agent as one of the other Japanese players in the MLB and his former NPB teammate and close friend, Kodai Senga. Wolfe was instrumental in getting Senga his $75 million, 5-year contract with the New York Mets. Although that doesn’t remotely go anywhere near Yamamoto’s current prediction of $300 million, Wolfe’s past proves that he seldom takes it easy with the number of zeroes put on the papers, striving to get what’s only the best for his clientele.

The Yankees star outfielder Giancarlo Stanton’s deal is one such example. He had a lofty $325 million contract with his former team, the Miami Marlins. It guaranteed a 13-year tenure at $25 million a year, which went on to the Yankees roster after they traded for him. For a contract that proves Wolfe’s mettle in fetching high-value deals for his patrons, it also factored in his loyalty to his clientele in a future incident that happened in the Yankees clubhouse.

Stanton’s form took a turn for the worse following a series of injuries that made manager Brian Cashman state that Stanton is “never not hit when he’s playing,” per USA Today. Wolfe took a firm stance against that comment and defended Stanton, stating that “to play for that team, you’ve got to be made of Teflon, both mentally and physically.”
