Jordan Montgomery Has Caught The Attention of The New York Yankees

This 30-year-old would be up for grabs at the end of the season as a free agent. As the story goes, in 2022, the Yankees traded Montgomery to the St. Louis Cardinals to strengthen their postseason drive. It was not too late before the Pinstripes realized that it was one of their biggest indiscretions in the past five years. That said, Montgomery is not going to be an easy catch as the Yanks are not the only ones eying him. 

Montgomery’s value has increased exponentially during his brief run with the Cardinals and the Texas Rangers, making him a highly sought-after free agent. Monty made a lasting impression in 2023 while pitching for the Cardinals and Rangers. In 188.2 innings, he recorded a record of 10-11 with a 3.20 ERA, 166 strikeouts, and 48 walks. According to USA Today Sports, the Cardinals have a firm grip on the left-hander additionally to the New York Yankees.
