LeBron James, who plies his trade for the LA Lakers saw his play commemorated at Dodger Stadium with a bobblehead giveaway. The 19-time All-Star is one of the NBA’s most vaunted players and rightfully got the recognition he deserved.

The night was only made more historic as the Dodgers finished their 3-1 rout of the Miami Marlins with two home runs from superstar Mookie Betts.

Betts too was quick to acknowledge the basketball great in the Stadium as he flagged off rounding off the bases with a quick salute to James. In a moment of two sportspersons recognizing just what it takes, James too took his hat off to the star.

The recognition comes hot on the heels of several reports of a close connection between Mookie Betts and NBA legend Michael Jordan. The slugger is an official representative of the Jordan Brand. Interestingly, Jordan and James are also each other’s fans, having praised the other’s play before. Several NBA fans have even engaged in the greatest of all time debate, pitting the two stars against each other.

While a key part of their roster, Betts will be preparing for a grueling stretch of games before the start of the post-season.
