Liover Peguero has learned it all only through songs of 50 Cent!

Peguero has never been to an English class but can speak it well enough. MLB Life shared a post on Twitter giving an insight into his English learning process over the years.

The caption read, @Pirates Minor League shortstop Liover Peguero learned English by listening to hip-hop He says he fell in love with the language after hearing a?@50Cent song at 10 years old He’s never taken an English class before and is now comfortable enough to conduct interviews in English.”

According to MLB.com, Liover Peguero never had formal English learning but learned it through music. Currently 22, he started listening to English music when he was ten. Since then, he has come a long way and has practiced it to a level of communication level of perfection.

Peguero shared his journey since he heard a song by the poet Curtis Jackson, also known as 50 Cent. He said, ?I remember asking my uncle, ?What?s that language? I don?t know that language. What?s the song called? Who sings it?? That?s how I got into it, and I went from there.? The music artists list that started with 50 Cent now includes Young Thug, Lil Baby, and Kodak Black. Meanwhile, he is looking to make an impact in the minor league!

The Pirates’ number-six prospect has done great in the minor league so far!

The 22-year-old Peguero is currently playing in the minor league for Altoona Curve. He has done well with 28 runs in 41 hits while being at bat 128 times. He has four home runs to his name at an average of 0.270 and an OPS of 0.786. Peguero is looking solid and can play a major role in the future with his performances. When will he make his MLB debut? Only time will tell!
