The scenes were completely different in the NLDS. While most expected the Los Angeles Dodgers to win it, three MLB icons, Derek Jeter, Dave Ortiz, and Alex Rodriguez, weighted the San Diego Padres to win it. Although the Padres gave an excellent account of themselves, lost the series in five, ending a season on a high. However, it did not go well in the Dodgers dugout, with Max Muncy appealing against the prediction.

Given the squad strength and league-stage performance, the Blue Crew was always a favorite vs San Diego. But while the star players thought otherwise, Muncy had his case to appeal after a comeback NLDS win. In the line, he confronted Ortiz, who also bet his money on the Padres. The MLB postseason is a big thing, and with every eye watching, you can not get away with the wrongs. The same happened with Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, and David Ortiz, who said that the Dodgers would lose the NLDS. But given the opposite outcome, Max Muncy asked for an answer from the stars.

The Dodgers third baseman joined the show and had a rhetorical question; he asked all the panelists, including Ortiz, “They’re talking about how the Padres are gonna beat us, and, you know.” To this, the former Red Sox star replied that he picked the Dodgers, which was not the case. As pointed out by  Derek Jeter, it was a failed attempt from Ortiz to change his prediction. But given the current stances, Muncy should forgive Big Papi and Captain Clutch as they have now favored the Dodgers to win the NLCS as A-Rod differed.

Derek Jeter and David Ortiz agree, but Alex Rodriguez differs from Max Muncy on NLCS

Learning from the NLDS, Derek Jeter and David Ortiz changed their predictions for the NLCS. Notably, while projecting the NLCS results, Jeter and Ortiz came on similar terms. Acknowledging that the Los Angeles Dodgers are good for the fightback and winning it, both favored them to win the series in game 6. However, Alex Rodriguez differed and projected the New York Mets to win seven games.

He said, “Though the Dodgers are a better and deeper team. But I can not go against the Mets.” But if the current status is concerned, Rodriguez’s prediction is hanging in a thin line. The Mets are training after three games, losing out two games without a single run in favor. However, it seems the former Yankee is in the mood to stick to his previous prediction. Alex has again reiterated the same and has given the Mets an advantage for the next two games.

If it works out for him, the New York side will be 3-2 up, and after six games, the series will be on. But if not, he may be the odd one out, with Max Muncy asking a similar question, “Why did not he choose them?” Who do you think will be right this time? Share your answers in the comments below.
