For any athlete, playing and dominating their sport for over ten years is a big dream. It is a milestone that almost every player wants to achieve, regardless of the sport and league. Marcell Ozuna of the Atlanta Braves completed this dream after reaching the 10-year MLB service time mark. It was a special moment for the player, as he pulled this off after a few tough years in his career. His teammates at the Atlanta Braves made the celebrations special.

The whole Braves unit came together to celebrate. Ozuna got gifts from his teammates, including LOUIS XIII, worth more than $4,000. But there was one special personality who made the celebrations huge.

Former President George W. Bush joined the celebration

For any player, the support and love of teammates and fans is precious. Marcell Ozuna felt the same after the entire team congratulated him for his success. The celebrations also included former president George W. Bush, who is also the Atlanta Braves president. Justin Toscano from Ajc.com on Twitter, “On Tuesday, the Braves celebrated Marcell Ozuna. His teammates bought him a bottle of LOUIS XIII worth more than $4,000. Brian Snitker bought him a bottle of champagne. The Braves and former President George W. Bush celebrated Ozuna.

The player got a signed bottle from the former President. It was unbelievable for the player who exclaimed, “That means a lot. That means my teammates care about me. I care about them. We’re a unit. We are one group.” In his ten years of MLB career, Ozuna has played for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins before moving to Atlanta Braves ahead of the 2020 season.

Ozuna has played over 1190 games so far, scoring 597 runs at an average of 0.266. He has 204 home runs to his name at an OPS of 0.781. The player has not had an ideal start to the season but has done well in the last few outings. As his team is playing well this season, Ozuna will look to add more as an experienced player. It will be interesting to see how things will pen for him.
