FOX Sports: MLB recently shared a tweet on this meeting. Harper gifted a pair of bats and cleats to Yoshida. The caption of the post read, “Masataka Yoshida named his dog after his idol, Bryce Harper. When the two finally met in Philadelphia, Harper gave him two bats and a pair of cleats”.

Yoshida plays for the Boston Red Sox and is having a great run this season. The player has scored 22 runs in 28 games so far, averaging 0.315. He has an OPS of 0.937 and has claimed six home runs during this period. Yoshida will look to impart more from his idol and continue this run for the rest of the season.
Meanwhile, Harper is making a comeback from an injury. Harper made headlines for his fast recovery and has scored four runs and a home run in the four appearances of the season.
