The MLB world needs to brace itself to welcome a Korean Star. That said, there are some team names afloat that might be of interest for the soon-to-be MLB debutant. As a left-handed hitting outfielder, his position might look attractive to the big league higher-ups.

The KBO will be posting this 25-year-old in the coming days and the slugger already has two giant orgs eyeing him. A good sign for shoppers in the free agency market? Maybe, but this young talent brings to the table, along with his skills, a unique ‘name’.

@TalkinYanks tweeted a clip of @jonmorosi, a reliable MLB insider who was all praises of Jung-Hoo Lee. This number ‘51’ already has suitors, namely the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants, at the top. Clearly, these teams could use some lefty-out fielding assistance. Coupled with facts, Jon shared some amazing tidbits too about this star.

The reason for choosing 51 was because the kid idolizes Ichoro Suzuki. He has similar traits too, like impeccable contact ability. Additionally, the 6 foot, 2017 KBO Rookie of the Year can play centerfield and corner as well. This man brings in the energy of youth; his 5 gold glove awards and KBO MVP awards are proof. But there are two sides to a coin.

Jung-Hoo Lee missed quite a lot of time this year owing to a fractured leg. However, he is expected to be back in the same form as before, next season. Notwithstanding that, the pros seem to greatly outweigh the cons, which would make him a great fit for franchises looking to work on their swings and bunts. Not only that, Jung-Hoo’s play bears a striking resemblance to one of New York Mets’ 2017 All Star.

What’s In A Name, Jung-Hoo Lee?

Morosi said, as his description of the KBO star advanced, “I see some Ender Inciarte in this game. And Ender was a really good glove calibre, all star. Man! he is still one of my favorites“. That said, there is another interesting piece of trivia about Jong-Beom Lee’s son. Jong-Beom, a Korean baseball legend, earned the moniker ‘Son of the wind’ due to his speed.

Given that Jung-Hoo Lee is the son of Jon-Boem Lee, his nick name becomes the ‘Grandson of the wind’. Morosi expressed “what a great nick name”. He further added that if the Yanks, the SanFrans or any other team were to sign him, they would have, on their team, the guy with by far the “best nick name in the entire baseball galaxy”.
