Mike Trout, who plays for the Los Angeles Angels, is going through a slump. Having been in a precarious position, Trout failed to repeat his performances after a great start to the season, and his average has dropped to less than 0.150. It has been one of the most stressful phases in center fielder’s decade-old MLB career.

Earlier this week, Trout opened up about the dip in his form and how he is trying to overcome it. Along with it, he also gave an insight into his fitness.

Mike Trout rejected rumors and speculations that his struggles are because of his poor fitness. The 31-year-old affirmed that he is fully fit and is in the best shape all his career. According to ocregister.com, Trot shared, “Actually, this is the best I’ve ever felt. It’s a little frustrating because you feel like you’re getting a lot of opportunities and you’re not coming through. But it’s baseball. It’s a long season. Things will turn around.”

Trout then answered the question about all the opportunities he was getting even after a poor run. He said, “It’s frustrating because you’re getting a lot of chances and you’re not coming through for your team. That’s what it comes down to. As a competitor, you want to go out there and do your best and be your best. Sometimes things aren’t right. It’s tough.”
