Barry Bonds gained enormous popularity in the baseball realm as a hard-hitting slugger. His exhilarating batting displays elevated him to the reputation of a Home Run King.

Despite his controversial image, he is clearly one of the greatest performers ever on the baseball diamond. Likewise, living a royal life off the field, he once owned a luxurious property worth $8.7 million.

According to NBC Sports network, Bonds initially bought the European-style mansion designed like a Tuscan villa, back in 2002. However, he listed the property for sale in 2013. While he bought the property for $8.7 million, he listed it for $25 million due to the renovations he made.

Back in 2020, the Hollywood celebrity couple Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara bought the property for a whopping $26 million.

Bonds decided to list his property for a much higher price as he added a humongous 5,500 square feet. Therefore, the property got an upgrade to 17,100 square feet within the gated community.

He desired a $25 million price initially, upon putting up the place for sale in 2013. But rather got $22 million in the month of December that year.

The property has had multiple owners since that time frame. But in 2020, the Hollywood star couple of Manganiello and Vergara bought Bonds’ former property, paying $26 million. Thus, the Italianesque estate met its previous heavy demands. The $220 million worth celebrity couple combined their financial might to pay the expensive sum.

The 1.85-acre deluxe property has had extensive renovations since Bonds’ days of ownership. The villa comprises six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. There are two motor courts as well as a garage with accommodation for four cars in total.

Additionally, the property also consists of numerous stone fountains and rows of olive trees to give the authentic Italian touch.

The home’s main entrance showcases high ceilings and a dramatic spiral staircase. While the main floor’s living and entertaining spaces feature French doors and floor-to-floor ceiling windows. Moreover, a formal dining room, a bar, and a lounge area are located on a lower level.

But according to the Mansion Global network, the Hollywood celebrity couple decided to put the property for sale in 2022.
