Both share success stories and which makes them close competitors, generations apart. The list included Mark Messier, Joe Namath, Patrick Ewing, and Derek Jeter. Though many fans made changes to the list entirely, it was conflicting for baseball fans, especially from New York.

Both Ruth and Jeter played together for two years and more. The two shared similar scoring power and scored thousands of runs. Ruth scored 2174 runs and 714 home at an average of 0.342. In comparison, Jeter scored 1,923 runs and 260 home runs at an average of 0.310.
