With this, the relief pitcher will move away from Pittsburgh after spending two seasons there. Debuting in 2022, the 25-year-old has played 48 games in the MLB so far. During this period, Yerry has claimed 44 strikeouts at a WHIP of 1.26.
His recognizable effort came last season when he achieved a win percentage of 0.500 with a win in two games. But it also saw him losing precious game time and playing four games less than the previous season.
Now, at the Bronx, Yerry will look to change it and play a crucial role in the rotation. However, there is some clarity on his role, and the world has to wait on what terms the Yankees have signed him. But it seems fans are happy, irrespective of that.
