The New York Yankees have had an underperforming 2023 season. They are fourth in the AL East, two games behind the playoffs spot. A lot of this has happened because of regular injuries, hampering their flow, which has become a point of conversation. As other teams are strengthening their squad by including their top prospects, the lack of action from the Yankees has raised many eyebrows.

A Yankees strategy beyond understanding
The Yankees have faced injury problems since the start of the season. It has been worse since Judge left the squad, and players have performed like one-game wonders. The Yankees fans expect a change on the team with new faces that could help them. David Rifkin focused on it with a comparison with the Rivals and better-placed Baltimore Orioles.

He shared a tweet that read, “Baltimore is in 2nd place & continue to call up prospects. Yankees have Franchy, Donaldson, McKinney playing over Peraza, Florial, etc. Either Cashman’s roster construction failed or Fishman’s analytics failed or the whole FO strategy is failing. The 2023 Yankees are a mess.”

Fans are indeed not happy with how the season has progressed and want answers from the entire management of the Yankees. Their anger has increased only after recent statements from Aaron Boone when asked about recruitment in the future.
A change not even Aaron Boone hinted
The Yankees have a great setup filled with exceptional players in the reserves. Everyone expected the team to include them on the team. But it has not happened, and Boone also hinted no change. He focused on the returnees of the future.

Boone said, “We know we’re going to get guys back; we’re going to get Judge back. As rough as, in some ways, the first half has been for us and as much of a grind as it’s been for us. It’s right there in front of us.”
As Oswald Peraza was one of the top Yankees prospects who had yet to play in the MLB as much as others, it disturbed the fans. With half of the season yet to be played, they have only this request to make. Do you think the Yankees will listen to fans’ demands? Let your answer know in the comments.
