Aaron Judge is kind of his own. The New York Yankees superstar has been having his career-best season this year. With 57 home runs already smacked from the plate, Judge is on a pace to hit over 61 homers and break the single-season home run record in the American League.

Judge has been playing in the major league for over six years. But many sports fans might not be aware that apart from being a great ballplayer, Aaron Judge had a tremendous record in football too.

Yes! It might be surprising to many fans, but the Yankees phenom was an excellent wide receiver on his high school football team. He was so good at football that the Yankees star had almost a similar high school football career as the Super Bowl champ Odell Beckham Jr.

Aaron Judge is a man of many talents. What makes him more lovable is that apart from being an excellent slugger, Judge is a wonderful human being. Talking about his football skills, Judge played a wide receiver in his high school.

Per Max Preps, Judge’s receiving stat is mind-blowing, given he is a baseball player. At the junior level, he had 436 yards and four touchdowns to his name, and 969 yards and 17 touchdowns in his senior year.

When comparing his stats with the Super Bowl champ Odell Beckham Jr., the NFL star had a similar record to Judge. As a junior, OBJ has 743 yards and ten touchdowns, while he has 1010 yards and 19 touchdowns as a senior.

Considering Judge’s mind-blowing records, he would have made a wonderful wide receiver in the NFL. But only if he had played in the NFL, not MLB.

Given his remarkable form, Aaron Judge is the favorite to win the American League MVP this year. However, in the name of Shohei Ohtani, it will be difficult for the Yankees star to win the MVP Award.

Because just like Judge, Ohtani is also having a remarkable season. The reigning AL MVP has been having the best season as a two-way player in MLB history. With 12 wins and 188 strikeouts from the mound and 34 homers from the plate, Ohtani is in a league of his own.

The only thing which can make a difference between Aaron Judge winning the MVP and Ohtani not winning the same is that the Yankees star will play in the postseason and the Angels’ star not.
