Even though the New York Yankees have not been the most consistent team this season, ruling them out for the World Series will be a mistake. The Pinstripes make a solid team this year, with Aaron Judge, Anthony Rizzo, Nestor Cortes Jr., and Gerrit Cole by their side.

The only thing this team lacks is consistency. However, things are going in the favor of the Pinstripes for the last couple of weeks. Recently, the Yankees also won their division AL East for the 20th time in franchise history.

And now, when they march for the postseason games, the Yankees slugger, Anthony Rizzo, says they are already eyeing the championship this year.

Rizzo is not in a hurry. While talking to Marly Rivera of ESPN, the Yankees slugger discussed the plans for the World Series title. He said they want to take it to step by step.

“This is a really strong division this year. That’s been proven, and we have done a good job all year. We all had a great start. I was able to get off to good start and then make the playoffs, too. We won the division and now it’s ALDS and ALCS and hopefully World Series. So, one step at a time…,” Rizzo said.
