Phillies Broadcast Distance Themselves From Controversial Icon Pete Rose Following Disturbing Sexual Misconduct Allegations and Stomach-Churning ‘C**K High’ Fastball Comments

Ever since his return to Citizens Bank Park earlier this month, Pete Rose is creating more and more controversies only. First, he dismissed the most asked question about him during the 40th-anniversary celebration of the Phillies’ 1980 World Series win, and now, the Phillies broadcast has distanced itself from another controversial incident.

Even though Pete Rose is a controversial personality in MLB, the Phillies legend achieved the pinnacle of the game. He has three World Series, Rookie of the Year, two Gold Gloves, a league MVP, and a World Series MVP in his trophy cabinet.

Notably, Major League Baseball banned Rose from the sport after finding out about his alleged involvement in sports gambling. And now, a few days after honoring Pete Rose during the 1980 World Series celebration, the Phillies broadcast has edited Pette’s controversial appearance from the commentary booth.

Earlier this week, Pete Rose made his ballpark appearance in the Citizens Bank Park for the first time in 33 years. Notably, MLB has banned him from the sport since 1989. Had he not been involved in the infamous alleged sexual misconduct case, Pete would have already got his MLB Hall of Fame induction.

It is a pity that a player of his caliber ruined his legacy in one of the oldest American sports. Per the New York Post, Pete Rose joined the Phillies’ broadcast booth with Tom McCarthy and John Kruk. And as expected, it did not go very well.

Rose used some foul language in the commentary booth. McCarthy even tried to divert Rose’s attention, but the Phillies legend was in some mood. Rose’s words involved “c–k high” and “no s–t.” And that might be the main reason NBC Sports edited out Rose’s controversial remarks.

When talking about Rose’s contribution to the game, the controversial MLB legend still holds the record for most hits. With 4256 hits from the plate, no one is even close to the Phillies legend.
