Blue Jays Turned The Tables For The Boston Red Sox?

Despite the Red Sox having an upper hand for the majority of the game against the Blue Jays, they lost 4-3 in the Saturday match-up. The highlight of the game was in the 13th inning which brought the game to a close. The stellar walk-off infield single hit by second baseman and outfielder of the Blue Jays, Whit Merrifield, stood in the way of Boston?s chase to curb Yankees? at-large bid.?

While highlighting that the team has been performing this way for a while, the Red Sox manager Alex Cora said, ?Tough one. We pitched well, but we?ve got to figure out this hitting with men in scoring position, we?ve got to be better, it?s been going on for a while.?

While the Yankees work toward marking their spot in the wildcard, Blue Jays didn’t lose ground in the wildcard race. Toronto started the day half a game behind Seattle competing for the third spot in the wildcard.
