The 23-year-old center fielder shared an Instagram story in honor of the Weeknd’s “first in the world” achievement. ‘Blinding Lights’, the hit number by Abel ‘The Weeknd’ Tesfaye broke Spotify’s record for the most streams for a song in the history of the platform. Not only that, but the song broke its own record!

Last year, in February 2023, the Canadian singer became the first artist in the history of Spotify to reach a monthly listener number of 100 million. At present, he is ranked the number one artist on the platform, with a whopping 113 million monthly listeners. Now, isn’t that something? Clearly, this calls for a celebration!

Overwhelmed by all the love The Weeknd received from his listeners, he shared, “I’ll never stop being humbled by anything I create making its way to millions of people, let alone billions!
