They share more similarities than just their flag – They’re both young outfielders and they’re both superpowers in the Bronx. The bond between them was bound to be strong. In fact, Dominguez would have made sure of that.

Remember when he said, “To be able to be close to him and learn from him, it’s gonna be good for me”? Perhaps he meant he’d be picking Soto’s brain in Spring Training. Whether he’s pocking the 25-year-old’s brain or not, they sure are having fun. Just look at Soto’s social media.

That’s right, the former San Diego Padre, took to Instagram to share a story of the two Dominican bros having fun. He reposted the story that the New York Yankee’s official IG page had posted tagging the two outfielders with a handshake emoji as a conjunction between them. 

The fact that the two came together is no surprise considering how eagerly the 21-year-old wants to learn from the man who came in through a blockbuster trade. One thing is for sure, skills have been picked up and progress is being made. Proof? A subreddit of the New York Yankees did a side-by-side of the two players’ swings and the similarities are mind-blowing. 

Looking at “Juan Soto’s swing compared to Jasson Dominguez’s swing, the future is now!”, one can’t help but notice how inspired one is from the other. And a deep friendship is a direct outcome of this desire to learn and grow.

Based on his past performance fans believe that he could be a future star, after all he hit four home runs over 33 plate appearances.
