In the thick of the ongoing celebrations with their teams that bagged Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, the two took a moment to celebrate their 1.02 billion value together. There was, however, a special cameo! 

Well, both these generational players started their careers in NPB at different times. However, fate had them play together as teammates in the World Baseball Classic, where their camaraderie was the harbinger of victory. The former Team Japan buddies took a moment away from mainstream MLB confetti and enjoyed a meal. Any guesses with whom? 

An Adorable Moment Captured Amid a Warm Welcome

Nobuyuki ‘Nobu’ Matsuhisa, whose Instagram handle is ‘therealnobu’ posted an adorable picture that took the internet by surprise. In the picture, the legendary international chef stood between two most-spoken-of players in today’s MLB posing with a platter of what looked like Japanese cuisine. 

Having Ohtani and Yamamoto at his restaurant, Matsuhisa Beverly Hills, was a gesture by the $200 million worth restauranter to welcome the duo to Los Angeles. He captioned the moment with the fulfilling words, “Welcome to Los Angeles and welcome to Matsuhisa Beverly Hills!” and tagged these profiles : @shoheiohtani, @yoshinobu__yamamoto, @ippei1231 and @matsuhisabeverlyhills.
