Shohei Ohtani’s impressive number game

As per projections, Ohtani is said to have a productive season on his plate in 2024. The numbers backing up this projection are to hit .279 with 35 home runs and an on-base percentage of .377. The world knows of his elbow surgery last year. Yet, these predictions hint at a return to familiar territory despite his current recovery process.

On one hand, the batting average and home run numbers are impressive. On the other, Ohtani’s real value lies in his dual-threat ability. Now, as a pitcher, the projections suggest that he’ll throw approximately 141 innings, striking out 141 batters. All this while maintaining a respectable ERA. With this, Ohtani is all girded up to make a difference and offer an unmatched value to the Blue Crew.

Ohtani will need to stay healthy and manage the workload of being a pitcher and a hitter in order to justify the gargantuan contract. However, his spring training debut, albeit just one game, displayed the captivating brilliance that one can hope to see throughout what’s up ahead.
