Shohei Ohtani The Designer? Dodgers Star Set To Display His Artistic Side In An Exclusive Gesture

Apart from being one of the greatest baseball players, Shohei Ohtani is also a major star. With multiple companies benefiting from his presence, Dip Corporation too recently made Ohtani its brand ambassador. Now the company has gone creative with their usage of the superstar. Instead of using his baseball prowess, they’re turning him into a designer!

The Japanese superstar’s proficiency with art is known to all. Looks like Dip Corporation is hoping to extract some of Ohtani’s artistic abilities for the benefit of its shareholders. It’s certainly a unique strategy that will bring smiles to many faces.

Ever since Dip Corporation announced Shohei Ohtani as their brand ambassador in December, the company has been on a high. Its share value grew as much as 8.9% after the video of CEO Hideki Tomita and Shohei Ohtani sitting together was released. Now the company has found another way to please its shareholders – a QUO card designed by Shohei Ohtani.

The X post shows an announcement that Dip Corporation made to its shareholders. It states that to encourage a long-term stay, the company gifts two cards to its shareholders every year. But this February they’re going a step further. Dip Corporation is going to be issuing an original QUO card which will be designed by their Brand Ambassador Shohei Ohtani.

There will be two values for the QUO Cards – 500 Yen and 1000 Yen. The distribution will be based on the number of shares that a shareholder possesses. A card designed by possibly the greatest athlete in the country? It’ll surely bring smiles to many faces and will probably become a massive collector’s item.

It’s yet another proof of the massive popularity that Ohtani enjoys in Japan. The fans are always on the lookout for things related to the Japanese icon.

Possibly the most popular athlete in Japan, Ohtani’s impact is such that even the smallest of things turn into collector’s items once they get associated with him. Case in point, when Shotime joined the Los Angeles Dodgers, there was a frenzy in the streets of Tokyo. Fans rushed to get the special newspaper that reported Ohtani’s signing.

The front page became a collector’s item for the fans. It’s just a small evidence of how big Ohtani’s fame is in the Land of the Rising Sun. More importantly, that fame is only set to grow as the superstar is getting ready to add more accolades to his name.
