It has been a roller coaster ride this season for Gary Sanchez, who has played for three teams since the start of the season. The two-time All-Star had a Minor League contract with the San Francisco Giants, from which he opted out to sign for the New York Mets. He played for the Mets for three games before they designated him for an assignment.

After that, Sanchez signed for the San Diego Padres but got a mixed reception from the fans. Putting all the negativity aside, Sanchez has played well on the latest outing. Even though fans did not approve of his signing, but have changed their views after his brilliant display against the Marlins.

Sanchez hit the first home run of the season. It came in a 2-1 loss against the Miami Marlins. Talkin’ Yanke shared the clip of his home run with the caption, “GARY SÁNCHEZ HOMER.” Sanchez finished the game with an average of 0.337 and an OPS of 1.667. His performance came amidst all the doubts.

Notably, given the situation Sanchez was in, nobody thought he would have an MLB home run. Possibly the number 99 jersey has helped the player to settle well into the new team. He pulled up inspiration from Aaron Judge to silence all the critics and possibly gave the Mets something to think about.
