Without his guidance, the team failed to execute the plans. But for the fans, the talking point was his suspension instead of the defeat against the mighty Padres. The umpires ejected Boone from the game against the Orioles on Thursday. MLB took note of the incident and handed him a one-game suspension. Fox Sports MLB shared the news on Twitter. In his absence, the Yankees had a forgetful outing. They lost the game against the Padres with a score of 5-1. It’s the second game, where the Yanks’ offense has disappointed their fans. The only run of the game came through Gleyber Torres, who finished with an average of 0.250.
Talking about the Padres, the Bob Melvin-led team did well with the bat. Juan Soto was the star of the night. Having scored two crucial runs, Soto also had two RBIs against the Aaron Judge-starred team. The Padres slugger finished the game with an average of 0.400 and an OPS of 1.600.
