Vida Blue had a legendary career after he made his MLB debate with the Oakland Athletics in 1969. Blue rose to prominence in 1971 and continued his dream run to become the youngest-ever MVP in MLB history at 22 years old, only three years after his debut. His performances were also instrumental during A’s three consecutive World Series title campaigns from 1972 to 74.
The 1971 AL MVP left for a heavenly abode earlier this month, aged 73, leaving a lasting legacy behind. Tributes have poured in for the legendary pitcher from every section of the MLB world. Continuing it, the Athletics again paid their homage to their Hall of Famer during their latest MLB game.

Meanwhile, the Athletics will look to address their current voes too. They have lost the track and are last in the AL West, 16 games behind the division leaders Texas Rangers. They are currently going through a slump and are on a winless run of five games. Their latest defeat has come against the Rangers. Shockingly, they could not score a single run in this game. The Oakland Athletics has a glorious history and will look to do better in the upcoming challenges and do justice with it.
