It read, “Awful news for the Royals: First baseman Vinnie Pasquantino, their best hitter, is done for the season after tearing the labrum in his right shoulder. He’ll need surgery.”

Certainly, the news is awful not only for the whole Royals setup but also for Pasquantino. The 25-year-old was into his second MLB season and was having a great time on the diamond. In 61 appearances, Pasquantino had scored 24 runs at an average of 0.247 and an OPS of 0.762. He was also involved in 26 RBIs and scored nine home runs.
