Tommy John Is Likely to Keep Liam Hendriks From Playing Till 2025

It has been a difficult period for Liam Hendriks since 2022. He overcame it after being diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, the last stage of a life-threatening disease. The Australian fought against it for over five months and won the battle on April 5. He then made his comeback on the mound in May this year.

Since that Hendriks was brilliant on the mound, with a win-loss record of 2-0 in five appearances. But he is a big problem again. According to the latest reports, he had an elbow injury that required elbow surgery. He had a Tommy John surgery on Wednesday and would be out of action till 2025.

FOX Sports: MLB shared this update on their Twitter handle. It read, “Liam Hendriks underwent Tommy John surgery today, the White Sox announced. He is expected to be out until 2025.” The update has disappointed the baseball fraternity.
