After retiring, the legend has pushed his net worth to $200 million through some unknown ventures.
What did Derek Jeter invest into?
Looks like the Yankees legend has pre-planned about what and how he will be living his life post-retirement. Considering the investments he made have helped him raise his net worth to $200 million.
Before retiring in 2014, the shortstop, in association with Simon & Schuster, launched Jeter Publishing in November 2013. The publishing house, as Forbes pointed out in 2014, “will encompass adult non-fiction titles, children’s picture books, middle-grade fiction, and ready-to-read children’s books.”

In addition to this, he became a partner and Brand Development Officer of a food company, Luvo, that pushes “Great tasting healthy meals.”
As per the Associated, “A trust controlled by Jeter sold his 5,425-square-foot apartment on the 70th floor of Trump World Tower on Manhattan’s East Side in October 2012 for $15.5 million. His primary residence is set to be the 30,875-square foot house he had constructed on Davis Islands in Tampa, Florida, in 2010-2011 that some have nicknamed ‘St. Jetersburg.’”
Apart from all of this, he has struck some deals with major brands. Including Gatorade, Movado, Nike’s Brand Jordan, Rawlings, and Steiner Sports.
All this, and he has earned and still earns millions from endorsements alone.

He has always said that after retiring he wanted to get married, and have kids. And so he did. He got married to the model Hannah Davis. They became parents of three beautiful daughters. Two of his daughters also had the chance to be there when he got inducted into the Hall of Fame.
One of the reasons the documentary ‘The Captain’ came into being was because of his daughters. Because his daughters are young, they haven’t been a pretty big part of their father’s life. And he wants them to know about his life. He also wants them to always believe in themselves and their dreams, just like he did.
