The Houston Astros dominated teams across the League en route to a World Series title in 2022. They looked unstoppable, winning 106 games in the regular season. But the real domination started in the postseason, where the Astros cruised past opponents. They met the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series but pushed them in 6 games.

Chas McCormick was a solid piece for the Astros in 2022, providing them with decent power hitting. Most recently, McCormick made a wild prediction for the upcoming Super Bowl. With the highly anticipated game right around the corner, the Astros outfielder decided to get in on the predictions.

Chas McCormick predicted a repeat of the 2017 season results

The 2023 Super Bowl is set to take place with the Kansas City Chiefs facing the Philadelphia Eagles. Many athletes and celebrities are predicting the results and Houston Astros outfielder Chas McCormick decided to get into the action. McCormick made a wild prediction stating that a repeat of 2017 would happen again and that the Eagles would win. For those unversed, in 2017, the Astros won the World Series, and the Eagles won the Super Bowl. McCormick is predicting that it will happen again. The MLBPA shared his prediction via Twitter.

The tweet said, “A 2017 repeat? Chas McCormick thinks his @astrossquad set the stage for an @Eagles victory this weekend!” In the prediction video, McCormick said, “Chas McCormick here with the Houston Astros. Bug week for the Eagles. Super Bowl Sunday is in a couple of days. We’re all ready for this thing to get started. Eagles-Astros won in 2017, I expect the same this year. Go Birds.”

It will be very interesting to see if this wild but epic prediction comes true. The Astros have indeed set the stage for the Eagles to make this coincidental connection come true. Some fans predicted that the Astros will win the 2023 World Series after they appointed their new general manager. But getting back to the Super Bowl, this is a battle of the behemoths.

 Both teams, the Chiefs and Eagles, have a point to prove

The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles are all set for a titanic clash at Super Bowl LVII. Both teams have picked up titles in the last 5 years and are looking to prove their dominance. The Chiefs won the 2020 Super Bowl after the 19-20 NFL season. Whereas, the Eagles won the 2018 Super Bowl after the 17-18 NFL season.
