A few months ago, sports and film analyst Adnan Virk was a guest on ‘The Rich Eisen Show.’ The podcast got hosted by guest host Ben Lyons. Both of them discussed various topics. Speaking on the podcast, Virk expressed high praise for Federer and Ohtani, separating them from all others. 

Talking about Federer, Virk said, “There’s a great article, Ben, by David Foster Wallace, it’s called, ‘Federer as a Religious Experience’. It’s a brilliant article and I like many, enjoy the pilgrimage and worship of Federer. And I think, it comes down to this essence, he makes greatness looks so effortless. And I think that the athletes that we most admire, you generally appreciate the fact they’ve got that clutch gene and they can do without breaking a sweat.”

Virk then talked about Ohtani saying, “Ohtani is still remarkable. As they (LA Angels) cough it up, he is sublime. His pitching numbers, he is pitching better this year than he was last year. ERA’s but a half run lower. He’s walking less and striking out more.”  

The road ahead for the two distinguished players 

Ohtani’s contract with the Angels will expire by the end of this season. With a colossal career waiting in the wings, he might opt for a champion team next. Meanwhile, Federer has announced retirement and will pull down the curtains on his epic sporting venture this year.
