Playoffs started almost ten days ago, and the San Diego Padres have already clinched the National League’s Division Series. With 89 wins this regular season, the Padres managed to win the series against a team with 111 wins, the LA Dodgers.
The Padres won the fourth game of the NL division series by 5-3 at their home ballpark, Petco Park. Celebrations are in order for the team as they made it to the NLCS for the first time since 1998. The 22-year-long wait is finally over. Although the pressure of winning was obviously high, the team did not let the pressure get to them.

They played the game as they always do and eliminated the NL West winners from the playoffs. Celebrations started, champagnes popped, champagne showers happened, and almost every member associated with the team got drenched as well. But a celebration that stood out the most was by the outfielder Wil Myers and his wife, Maggie Reaves.
How did Wil Myers celebrate the long-awaited win of the San Diego Padres?
The longest-tenured Padres player, Will Myers, with his wife, was in downtown San Diego, celebrating the team’s NLDS win. To thank the fans, the couple went to multiple bars to celebrate with the fans while high-fiving them. Not only this, but they also bought shots for everyone in every single bar that they went to.

With 22 wins less than the league winners, the Padres entered the playoffs for the Wild Card Series. They won the Wild Card Series by winning against the New York Mets, who also had 100-plus wins this regular season. And now they have defeated the Dodgers to advance to the NLCS.
