It has been an engaging week for the sporting world. From MLB to the FIBA World Cup to the US Open, all have given a lot for the fans to enjoy and react to. In the same line, another incident has added more to the conversation. With her US Open title win, Coco Gauff has become the latest athlete to attract the attention of sports lovers. Given her age and success, the MLB world, including legend Derek Jeter, has joined in with their wishes and reactions for the 19-Year-Old tennis sensation.

Notably, she was projected as an upcoming star after she defeated Venus Williams years back to kick-start her inspirational journey. And her win over experienced Aryna Sabalenka has added another feather to her career. Though, this is not the first win that Gauff had over a big star. Days back, she defeated two-way phenom, Shohei Ohtani, for an exclusive feat.

Since her remarkable breakthrough at the age of 15 four years ago, Coco Gauff’s exceptional mental strength and emotional maturity have consistently guided her path and propelled her to the pinnacle of her career. In the most significant game of her career, facing off against the world’s top player, Coco Gauff became one of the youngest tennis players to win a Grand Slam title. Notably, she succeeded Serena Williams with her win over Sabalenka.

Given the occasion, the MLB world also joined the tennis world in celebrating Gauff’s success. From the New York Yankees’ Derek Jeter to Los Angeles Dodgers’ Mookie Betts, all wished Coco Gauff through their Instagram stories. Sharlee Jeter followed her brother and wished Gauff while celebrating her inspirational journey.

Adding more to wishes, Francisco Lindor’s wife Katia shared her joy in her Instagram story. While posting her one family picture, she wrote, “Reposting this because we stood up next to the champion.”

Unveiling her humble side, Gauff credited the sister-duo for achieving this remarkable feat, “[Venus and Serena] are the reason why I have this trophy today, to be honest. They have allowed me to believe in this dream growing up.”

New Balance, the brand that has been a proud sponsor of the young prodigy for the last five years, conveyed a perfect message on their recently released T-shirts: “Call me Champion.”

Although she already had special shoes released, it gave her another win over Shohei Ohtani, who is yet to get a similar treatment.

It has come after the $5.3 Billion New Balance ignored Ohtani while releasing specially crafted shoes for Coco Gauff. It emerged following his decision to forge an agreement with them, disregarding major corporations.
His association added to the worth with his increasing liking, and fan following. Because of this, Ohtani deserved to be on the same list. But that does not seem to be the case.
